ABA ART LAB is a contemporary art company, dedicated to the curation, exhibition and production of Art, which develops its work national and internationally.
ABA ART LAB was founded in September 2004. It started as an emerging contemporary art gallery in Palma de Mallorca and has evolved into a company specialized in the production of Site Specific art.
ABA ART LAB has its own exhibition spaces called ABA ART LAB Project Rooms.
In addition, it has curated and produced important contemporary art collections for private clients, companies and luxury brands.
ABA represents an international and culturally diverse community of contemporary artists.
ABA devotes great time and effort to the management and documentation of the creative process, the artistic production, the supervision of the quality of the works, museography and the curation of exhibitions.
María Isabel Bordoy Bennàsar (Palma de Mallorca, 1976) Graduated in Political Sciences, International Relations and European Integration in the ULB – Université Libre de Bruxelles. Master with distinction in Immigration, International Relations and Social intercultural mediation in the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. Worked for European Projects and for the Department of Economic Promotion and Entrepreneurship of the Town Hall of Palma de Mallorca. Director of the Gallery Camba (2002-2004) and co-director of ABA since 2004. Graduated in the Program of Development for Executives (PDD) from IESE Business School – Universidad de Navarra.
Alejandra Bordoy Bennàsar (Palma de Mallorca, 1976) Graduated in Art History, Universidad de Salamanca. Worked at Department of Modern Art in the Museum of Fine Arts of Belgium. Master with Distinction in Museology in the École du Louvre, Paris. Worked at the cultural department of the Musée du Louvre, public management and cultural relations. Degree in Critique of Contemporary Art (EINA), Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. Co-author of The Catalogue Raisonné of Joan Miró-The collection: Pilar and Joan Miró Foundation – Palma de Mallorca. Director of the Gallery Camba (2002-2004) and co-director of ABA since 2004. As an expert on contemporary art she is devoted to curating individual and group exhibitions from national and international artists.
